“SOCAR Georgia Gas” / “Sakorggazi” natural gas supply activities.
Under the “Natural Gas Supply and Consumption Rules” approved by the Resolution No.12 dated July 9, 2009 of Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission “On Approving Natural Gas Supply and Consumption Rules”: “a person engaged in selling natural gas, including retail customers, and charging for the consumed natural gas in accordance with applicable laws, is a natural gas supplier.”
According to the “Georgian law on electricity and natural gas” “Supplier” is a person who buys natural gas and sells it to other suppliers and/or other consumers.
The relations between a supplier company and a customer are regulated in accordance with the “Georgian law on electricity and natural gas”, the “Natural Gas Supply and Consumption Rules” approved by the Resolution No.12 dated July 9, 2009 of Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission “On Approving Natural Gas Supply and Consumption Rules”, as well as applicable legislative acts and by-laws of Georgia.
Natural gas sale and purchase is performed in accordance with relevant contract and the “Natural Gas Supply and Consumption Rules”. Hence, if a customer wants to obtain natural gas from “SOCAR Georgia Gas” LLC / “Sakorggazi”, he/she has to submit a written request to the company.
According to the “Natural Gas Supply and Consumption Rules”, “Sales and purchase agreement” shall be concluded in writing (also by a receipt or other written document, approved by the Rules).
